Welcome to peach week 🍑
Nothing says peak summer to me like peach season which means… it’s time for peach week! Pick some up at your local grocery story, farmer’s market, heck, even Costco has them by the dozen! Whether your jam is white or yellow peaches, this week has you covered and ready to start cooking (not just snacking or “pie-ing”) with peaches in no time!
This week you’ll be making
🍑 Peach and ricotta summer salad
🍑 Balsamic chicken and peaches with rosemary sweet potatoes
🍑 Grilled peaches and ice cream
Your grocery list for the week:
Asterisks note things I suggest having on hand always as kitchen staples!
Produce
- 4 ripe peaches
- Preferred greens (I did baby kale)*
- Fresh basil (I used 10 leaves)
- Fresh thyme (I used 3 sprigs)
- 2 sweet potatoes*
- 4 cloves of garlic*
- 1 shallot
Dairy
- Vanilla ice cream
- Ricotta cheese (I did skim from Trader Joe’s)
condiments/oils
- Olive oil*
- Optional- a less strong tasting oil (e.g. canola or avocado)*
- Cinnamon*
- Honey*
- Balsamic vinegar *
- Salt and pepper*
- Dried rosemary*
- Garlic powder*
protein
- 2 chicken breasts*
Misc.
- Optional- crackers or baguette
